Outdoor Cooking Challenge a Delicious Success
Year 4 and Year 5 pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Billingham enjoyed a wonderful finale to their Forest School journey this year by putting their outdoor cooking skills to the test.
Using fresh ingredients, the children carefully chopped, prepared and cooked a delicious curry completely from scratch. Throughout the session, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork, communication and resilience as they worked together to create their meal.
The result was a tasty homemade curry that everyone was incredibly proud of.
Building Skills and Confidence Outdoors
Forest School has provided pupils with many opportunities to develop new skills, challenge themselves and learn in the natural environment.
From exploring the outdoors to developing practical skills and building confidence, the children have embraced every activity with enthusiasm and determination.
A Year of Learning and Adventure
Over the past year, pupils have created lasting memories while enjoying a wide variety of exciting outdoor experiences. Forest School has encouraged curiosity, independence and teamwork, helping children grow both personally and socially.
The school has loved seeing the children's confidence flourish throughout their Forest School sessions.
Looking Ahead to Next Year
As this year's Forest School programme comes to an end, pupils and staff are already looking forward to continuing their outdoor adventures next year.
