Reception pupils at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Billingham were delighted to welcome parents and family members into school for a special Starbooks reading session.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for children and their families to come together and share the joy of reading.
Sharing Stories Together
Throughout the morning, children enjoyed listening to stories, discussing their favourite books and reading alongside their families.
The classroom was filled with excitement as pupils proudly shared their love of books and engaged in a range of reading activities.
Inspiring a Lifelong Love of Reading
Staff were delighted to see so much enthusiasm for reading from both children and families.
Events such as Starbooks help foster positive reading habits and demonstrate the important role families play in supporting children's literacy development.
Thank You for Your Support
The school would like to thank all the parents and family members who attended and helped make the morning such a success.
Their support and involvement made the event a memorable celebration of reading, and staff look forward to welcoming families to future Starbooks sessions.
Year 2 Enjoy Special Reading Session
Year 2 pupils also recently welcomed parents into school for their own Starbooks reading event.
It was lovely to see families sharing books together and celebrating the children's growing love of reading. Staff greatly appreciated the time parents took to join the session and support their children's learning.
