Year 2 pupils at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Billingham marked Harvest with a special celebration focused on kindness, sharing and caring for others.

The children welcomed their families into school to share an important message inspired by Pope Francis' call to care for our common home.

Sharing the Meaning of Harvest

During the assembly, Year 2 pupils reflected on the importance of gratitude, generosity and looking after the world around us.

Through their presentation, the children explored how simple acts of kindness and sharing can make a positive difference to the lives of others and help care for God's creation.

A Special Harvest Treat

As part of the celebration, pupils shared delicious soup they had made with their families.

The opportunity to enjoy food together helped bring the Harvest message to life, highlighting the importance of community, sharing and gratitude.

Thank You to Our Families

The school would like to thank all the families who attended and helped make the celebration so special.

Staff were incredibly proud of the confidence, enthusiasm and thoughtful reflections demonstrated by the children, who shared the Harvest message beautifully with their guests.
